Care Guide
100% Cotton, you don't need to pre-wash this fabric unless you plan to wash the garment. Wash in cold water and if you put it in a dryer it will shrink. Press the fabric while it is still damp, so don't completely dry it.
Always high quality coutil. Thank you!
Thanks Linda
This is a beautiful, neutral-beige, very stiff and sturdy coutil. Perfect for the corset I am constructing. I ordered 1 meter and there's enough leftover after cutting the pieces for one layer that I can to probably use the rest to make a second corset or a pair of stays.
As always, great quality and beautiful colour. Will make a nice pair of 1780's stays. Thank you.
This coutil is a very sturdy fabric, almost like a rigid canvas or tarp material. It doesn't really drape much on its own, and is much stiffer than the other coutils marked "soft" on this website.
The color was a little different than I thought though: the product picture made it look like a lighter peachy pink beige, but in reality, it's a more typical tan kind of color. The herringbone weave is very tiny and difficult to distinguish, which may be exactly the look you're wanting!
