Our Version of the Laughing Moon Edwardian dress pattern

It's taken a long time to get a sample made of this Edwardian dress pattern because I found it so inspiring I could not decide just which way to approach it. Even when I found the old lace piece at an antique sale I knew I wanted it in this dress but again I came up with a few ideas. I came to the final decision by determining what I wanted to showcase. The garment above was designed to exhibit the beautiful depth of colour that our white velvet can attain when dyed and to display the "devore" process (creating cut velvet).
