German Plastic bones 5 mm (3/16 inch)

German plastic bones are also know as "Synthetic Whalebone" and are very versatile as they can be sewn through and cut with scissors. They are recognizable by the stripes. This size is 5mm wide (approximately 3/16") and 1mm thick. It is most commonly used for doll fashions and millinery projects.

This is very narrow boning and you can fit two into our 34-7212-bone casing tape...sew down the middle of the tape. Or use Prussian tape for bone casing.
