Shipping at Farthingales
How the shipping is calculated and when we ship
Farthingales ships via Canada Post. Shipping rates are calculated by Canada Post and are based on the weight and dimension of the order, the destination and the speed of delivery required. Shipments are picked up by Canada Post every Tuesday and Thursday (unless these are Holidays). Orders must be received before noon on these days in order to possibly be shipped the same day.
Please be aware that one item can be costly to ship and sometimes you can ship several items for the same amount of shipping. This is because there are minimum shipping rates. We do not make any money from shipping at all.
Canada Post ships almost all over the world.
If you prefer to use a courier such as FedEx or UPS you need to supply us with an account number and BE AWARE that if you are outside of Canada the cost of courier is approximately 3 times that of Postal Service and you will potentially face Duty and Brokerage fees. You will need to supply us with your Courier Account Number upon check-out.
Please note: if a package is "refused" or "undeliverable" and returned to us, you will be responsible for the shipping cost of the return to us. Please be sure you have given the correct address or pick the parcel up from the Post Office if needed. In most cases you will be sent an e-mail with a tracking number so you can be aware of when the package should arrive and where it is being sent to. The only exception is when "Small Packet" shipping service is chosen as it is not a traceable service.
Farthingales does not back-order items. We will e-mail you that an item is not available, let you know if it is on order and when it will possibly arrive. So please check your e-mail in the days after ordering. If we do not hear back and there are other items on the order we will ship what we have. You will need to re-order the unavailable item later.
